I was a surrounded with a great writing system at this time - My publisher, SBK/EMI was headed by my friends, Dierdre' O'Hara, and Nancy Brennan. They spared no expense in showing me off, and we found a great click with Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers. They ended up producing 80% of the record, including the top 40 single, "Stranger To Love." I also got to work with Oliver Leiber again, the man who co-penned "Rich Man," off the last record. I spent 8 months in NYC recording and mixing this record. This was an eye opener for a Minnesotan. Los Angeles was quite a lot more like home then NY, and it took a bit of getting use to. Believe me, I grew to love NYC. I just spent another 6 months programming for David Sanborn's new release in early '96 with my brother Ricky Peterson producing, and I loved it! Also on this record was a song called "Every Heart Needs A Home," which sold 2 million copies on the soundtrack for the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." On the strength of these two
